Helping You Move Forward with Clarity and Confidence
About Veritas Mind and Performance, PLLC
I provide affordable self-pay telehealth psychotherapy for adults throughout North Carolina. I work with clients from all walks of life who may feel overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, burned out, or uncertain during a major life transition. Clients may also seek support with perfectionism, workplace or school-related stress, relationships, identity, LGBTQ+ concerns, or finding greater meaning and balance.
Many of the individuals I serve are balancing careers, education, relationships, family obligations, personal expectations, and significant life changes. Even when life appears manageable on the outside, they may struggle with chronic stress, self-doubt, anxiety, academic pressure, difficulty maintaining balance, or a sense that they have lost connection with what matters most. Therapy provides an opportunity to step back, gain clarity, and develop a more sustainable path forward.
My approach is practical, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based psychological principles. Rather than focusing solely on symptom reduction, I help clients understand patterns that may be contributing to distress while building skills that support resilience, emotional well-being, and long-term personal growth. Together, we develop strategies that align with your values, strengths, and goals.
I am Ralph A. Tamayo, MA, PsyD, LPA, HSP-PA, a psychologist in North Carolina and founder of Veritas Mind and Performance, PLLC. I earned my Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) degree from California Southern University and my Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Ateneo de Manila University.
My professional experience includes providing psychological services across outpatient, correctional, pediatric, and community-based settings. Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals experiencing anxiety, stress, workplace and school-related challenges, life transitions, relationship concerns, adjustment difficulties, and personal growth concerns. In addition to psychotherapy, I have conducted comprehensive psychological assessments and collaborated with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to support client well-being.
At Veritas Mind and Performance, PLLC, my goal is to provide a thoughtful, confidential, affirming, and supportive environment where clients can gain insight, strengthen resilience, and create meaningful change. Whether you are managing anxiety, navigating a significant life transition, experiencing relationship or identity concerns, facing workplace or academic stress, or seeking greater fulfillment and balance, therapy can help you move forward with greater confidence and clarity.
